PlenOptika´s CTO and Cofounder Eduardo Lage appeared on Spanish national radio (Lo que Viene, Cadena COPE) to share the story of our mission, of the impact accessible and high quality vision correction can make globally, and of how thanks to groundbreaking engineering our technology was selected for space health research in the history-making Polaris Dawn mission.

Not satisfied to explain how accurate autorefraction can help billions—that’s right, billions—who live with uncorrected refractive error right now, he looks ahead to a world where access to vision correction is even more instant and universal.

Spain’s First Vice President and Minister of Economy, Trade and Business, Carlos Cuerpo, participated in a working breakfast with leaders of the Spanish-American company PlenOptika (developer of portable vision diagnostic devices such as QuickSee, originally spun out of MIT) in Boston during his official working visit to the United States.

The meeting, held in April, was organized by ICEX and the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in New York. Its objective was to strengthen connections between the medical technology innovation ecosystems and to foster new opportunities for bilateral investment between both markets.

PlenOptika co-founder and CEO, Shivang Dave, had the opportunity to exchange views on the future of healthcare innovation with Minister Cuerpo, Ambassador Ángeles Moreno Bau, and representatives from ICEX.
