MEDIC Technology Showcased in Tele 5 news

Just a few days ago, the crew of SpaceX’s Polaris Dawn space mission took on board a medical device developed by the MEDIC group at the School of Engineering of the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) and the company ‘PlenOptika’. This ‘gun’ allows for the detection of vision changes during this type of space journey. Silvia Asiain and Adrián Alonso report in the video.

Carlos Franganillo demonstrated one of these ‘medical gadgets’ live on the set of Informativos Telecinco. It is called ‘QuickSee Free’ and is an autorefractometer that can measure myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism in just ten seconds.
